In 2011 Sarah-Jane followed her heart, left the corporate world and established Studio Cakes, a bespoke cake design business catering to corporate functions, weddings, birthdays and events. 

 

Sarah-Jane is a qualified Pastry Cook with a passion for creative arts. Incorporating her love of baking and a talent for sculpture, watercolour and texture painting, Sarah-Jane has established herself as an award-winning cake designer.

 

In 2015, Sarah-Jane took over the reins of the much-loved Cake & Icing Centre, established by Margaret Rafanowicz in 1973. Under Margaret's careful tutelage, Sarah-Jane has extended her talents to include traditional cake decorating techniques.

 

All of Sarah-Jane's bespoke cakes are made from the highest quality recipes and ingredients, including Margaret's famous chocolate mud cake and rich fruit cake, in our 5-star food safety rated kitchen.

If possible, we prefer to discuss your specific cake requirements in order to provide you with an accurate quote. Cake prices vary depending on the size, number of tiers, fondant vs. soft icing finishes and the level of detail in the design. Additional design details such as fresh/sugar flowers, figurines and custom decals may add to the price of your cake.

 

The below prices are generic starting prices and are exclusive of GST. If you like our portfolio, please take the time to call us to arrange a customised quote to suit you. We love to work with our customers to meet their design and budget requirements.

Single tiered cakes

- children's novelty cakes from $90

- soft iced/naked finish from $115

- fondant finish from $155

*starting prices (excluding novelty cakes) are for 6inch round cakes, serving approximately 10-12 dessert sized slices. 

Two tiered cakes

- soft iced/naked finish from $250

- fondant finish from $350

*starting prices are for 8inch and 6inch round cakes, serving approximately 36 dessert sized slices

Three tiered cakes
